Seems the link to Joy's recipe is gone. The link directs me to a squatter site. That pizza looks good!

Mmm, the pizza looks amazing. I'm enjoying these Dark Days posts. And, you know, a little Philadelphia Brewing Co. beer alongside would fit right in! Lemme know if you feel like meeting up over there some Saturday. That'd be great.

Amy, I've linked to the recipe I use for pizza dough above. If you click on "Joy's recipe," you'll find the one I use.

Connie, Dark Days is a wintertime cooking challenge hosted by Laura at Urban Hennery, in which people try to cook and eat at least one totally local meal each week. Because it's easy to be a locavore during those lush summer months, but it's a whole lot more trying when so little is in bloom.

I just found your blog via Down-to-earth. I hate to sound like a complete dummy, but would you please explain the "dark days" to me?

Thank you,
Connie

[...] Marisa at Food in Jars confesses to what we’ve all been through at some point—that ‘I’ve gotta have it’ moment when some of the details aren’t exactly S.O.L.E. And I commend her! The red pepper and sausage pizza she put together looked delicious but what really caught my eye were the brussel sprouts. Looking forward to growing some this spring to enjoy during another Dark Days challenge to be sure! simple, colorful and delectable [...]

I'm reading Animal, Vegetable, Miracle right now. It's not easy learning to eat ONLY local foods. It takes a while to retrain yourself. Rather than do this all at once, I'm on the long term plan - which by the way, my post tomorrow will be about this very thing! I think of it as a "food journey".

I'm still experimenting with pizza dough recipes. Yours looks really good. Mind sharing the recipe?
